Writer: Matthew AndersonMatthew Anderson

The IRS has provided tax relief for victims of Hurricane Idalia. The relief is provided for affected individuals and businesses in 46 of Florida's 67 counties. Affected individuals and businesses now have until 2/15/24 to file returns and pay any taxes that were originally due during the relief period. This includes all returns normally due on or after 8/27/23 and before 2/15/24, including 2022 individual income tax returns due on 10/16/23.

The affected areas include Pasco, Hillsborough and Orange counties.
